Gary Clark

FORMER IT chief technology officer at US networking products multinational Juniper Networks, Gary Clark, has joined Tesla Motors as its chief information officer.

Mr Clark is a former head of technology services for Barclays Global Investors and spent more than 13 years in senior IT positions at DHL.

He succeeds Jay Vijayan, who left the US electric vehicle manufacturer early last year to establish a new startup company which is still operating in stealth mode.

Tesla also recently announced that its chief financial officer Jason Wheeler was leaving the company in April “to pursue opportunities in public policy”.

Deepak Ahuja

He will be replaced by Deepak Ahuja, who was Tesla’s first CFO and worked for the company for seven years before moving on in 2015.

Mr Ahuja has been a board director of US cyber security company FireEye for the past 18 months, while earlier in his career he spent 15 years with Ford in a variety of positions including controller of the Blue Oval brand’s small cars product development program, CFO for Ford of Southern Africa and CFO for the Ford-Mazda joint venture Auto Alliance International.
