KIA Australia staff and dealers have learnt first-hand what its major sponsor partner, the Brisbane Broncos, goes through to sharpen itself into a winning machine.

Now in its third year, staff and dealers attended Kia’s Broncos Bootcamp – a six-week health and fitness program built in conjunction with the NRL’s Broncos high-performance trainers, players and nutritionists.

It gave guests an insight into inner sanctum, high-performance training sessions aimed at sharpening both their physical and mental health.

Now in its third year, the program has been designed to educate and inspire participants to achieve their health and fitness goals in one of the country’s premier high-performance training facilities – the Bronco-owned Clive Berghofer Centre in Red Hill.

In addition to on-field and gym sessions, participants are also provided with a dietician and mental health tuition, and an array of at-home workouts to complete before the next session.

The bootcamp simulates a professional training environment that focuses on strength testing, training equipment demonstrations, conditioning, recovery, speed, and agility skills.

Training started on November 2 and takes place each Wednesday and runs through to December 7.

The training team is led by the Bronco’s head of performance, athletic performance coaches and sports scientist.

Head of performance David Ballard said: “It’s fantastic to have the Kia team in our facility each week and to experience a range of training sessions just like our NRL and NRLW players.”

Kia Australia has been the major partner of the Brisbane Broncos since the 2020 NRL season.

As one of Australia’s premier sporting teams, the Brisbane Broncos have enjoyed sustained success since their inception in 1988, winning six NRL and three NRLW Premierships.

The Broncos principles include changing lives through supporting the community that supports the club, which Kia said aligned nicely with its own family values.

Kia Australia also supports the WAFL, SANFL, FIFA World Cup, Australian Open and Rafael Nadal, the Broncos and the Australian Turf Club.
