It has a full Lexus showroom, pre‑owned and demonstrator range, finance, servicing, repairs, and parts all located within a single integrated facility.
Dealer principal John Merritt told GoAutoNews Premium that the new dealership has “undergone an extensive transformation to deliver a modern, premium retail environment tailored to Lexus customers”.
He said it also “opens at a time when Lexus is expanding its model range and introducing a new lineup of electric vehicles to suit growing customer demand for EVs”.
Lexus this week launched the 2026 upgrade to its latest EV, the RZ SUV. The national launch event for the RZ was held at Lexus of Essendon. It is expected to attract a significant increase in new customers based on its expanded specification and feature list, and lower purchase price.
The latest Lexus showroom is tailored to customer needs with high-end furnishings and fittings for new and used-car buyers, and the service clients.
The opening of Lexus of Essendon coincides with the auto precinct’s rapid growth in showroom openings of major brands.
Essendon Fields CEO welcomed Lexus of Essendon and said that Essendon Fields Auto “continues to outperform by having 20 plus brands in one central location, where more than 4.5 million people can get to Essendon Fields within 45 minutes thanks to its excellent freeway connectivity.
“We’ve created a destination that saves customers time and offers unparalleled choice.”
Essendon Fields Auto, is the Southern Hemisphere’s largest single‑site collection of automotive dealerships, recording more than 21,000 annual vehicle sales for four consecutive years and exceeding $1 billion in sales in 2025.
