MG Motor Australia has appointed strategic staff in key management positions as it transitions with the broader automotive industry toward electric vehicles.

It has appointed Kim Nguyen as sales director. She previously worked at Sydney City MG as the dealer principal.

Ms Nguyen started in the automotive industry in 2009 and since then has successfully advanced her career to higher roles such as general manager and HR manager.

MG Motor Australia said that with her experience in building dealerships along with excellent industry knowledge of the market, she has already added a new level of expertise to the company.

“Ms Nguyen is dedicated to applying ‘customer first’ and ‘dealer first’ in all her interactions with her team,” it said.

“With her new position at MG Motor Australia, Ms Nguyen will oversee the strategic direction and operations of the company alongside the CEO.

“She’ll also be driving initiatives to increase sales and market share, introduce new products, as well as strengthen partnerships.”

MG Motor Australia has also appointed Peter Coorey as director of network development.

The company said he brings more than 20 years of work experience as a manager and general manager within and outside of the industry.

“He has played an instrumental role in uplifting the brand, structure and collaboration of various companies including our own back in 2016 when he was our head of sales and strategy.”

MG Motor Australia and NZ has also appointed Mark Roberts as director of human resources.

He was previously a chief people officer and consultant to sporting organisations, start ups and other global companies.

“He brings experience and a proven track record of success in the human resources area, which will be invaluable in helping MG meet its goals and objectives while enhancing culture and longevity,” the company said.
