SPIRIT Super CEO Jason Murray has presented the MTA Apprentice of the Year for SA/NT to James Sparrow of Rowell and Searle Auto Transmissions.

As the industry fund for motor trades, Spirit Super has been supporting excellence in the industry since the Motor Trades Association of Australia super fund was established in 1989.

Spirit Super CEO Jason Murray said: “As a super fund, we understand the value of investing in the future. We know better than most that the more you put in early in your career, usually leads to more opportunities later.

“That’s why we are so proud to invest in the future stars of motor trades – our industry’s apprentices.”

Mr Murray said that as the motor trades industry continued to respond to changes in technology and product and service innovation, it became more important than ever to celebrate the work of apprentices.

“Apprentices not only learn from the best in the business, but their energy and commitment serve as a motivator to others they work with,” he said.

“As the fund for hard working Australians all of us at Spirit Super couldn’t be prouder of the dedication and work delivered by all of the nominees and winners of the awards.”
