COX Automotive has expanded its DealerAuction sales platform into NSW and opened it to franchised and independent dealers.

The move comes after DealerAuction.com.au made its successful debut into Queensland last year.

Cox spokesman Mathew McAuley said the digital sales platform became a very popular alternative to traditional vehicle wholesaling during COVID-19 disruptions.

From this month, the platform has become available for franchised and independent dealers along with wholesalers in NSW.

Mr McAuley said feedback on the platform had been extremely positive with buyers and sellers recognising the need for the wholesale digital solution.

“With this expansion both franchised and wholesale dealers in NSW can now take advantage of this proven online auction platform,” he said.

“Franchised dealers can now offer stock to qualified trade buyers, while independent dealers and qualified wholesalers have exclusive access to previously unavailable franchise dealer stock, offered in time based online auctions that can run 24/7, 365 days a year.”

DealerAuction has a team of motor industry professionals with extensive dealership experience who support buyers and sellers and have specialist negotiators to help close sales on vehicles that don’t meet reserve.

Mr McAuley said the benefits to franchised dealers and trade buyers in NSW include the fact it is a trade-only marketplace with an annual subscription fee of $200 plus GST and a fixed sale fee of $100 plus GST per vehicle. There are no buyer fees.

“More and more dealers are embracing online sales channels as part of their strategy especially as the automotive industry assesses the impacts of COVID-19,” he said.

“A digital-only solution such as the DealerAuction platform has never been more pertinent.”
