AUSTRALIAN automotive software company AutoGrab has appointed a key automotive industry specialist to the role of chief commercial officer.

The appointment of Saxon Odgers comes as AutoGrab expands its business to meet demand for its growing portfolio of products.

Mr Odgers comes to AutoGrab from Autotrader Group Australia where he was director and head of Motors, covering Autotrader, CarsGuide and Gumtree.

Commenting on his new role, Mr Odgers said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for me to be part of AutoGrab’s journey and support and influence the business growth into all markets surrounding the industry. As well as work with current and future customers on ensuring there reaping the ROI benefits that Autograb provides.

“This opportunity will allow me to further use my skill set in leadership, sales and business strategy and my knowledge of the auto market and give dealers the tools to aid them in inventory control, acquisition opportunities and real-time pricing metrics.”

Mr Odgers said that although the automotive industry can be volatile, he said services such as those offered by AutoGrab would smooth out the differences between pent-up buyer demand and inventory pricing volatility.

AutoGrab chief operating officer Henry Pedersen said the company was delighted to welcome Mr Odgers.

In Mr Odgers previous role at Autotrader Group Australia, he oversaw the Motors operations of Autotrader, CarsGuide and Gumtree Cars.

He has more than 15 years of experience in the automotive industry, including roles at Sydney City Toyota/Lexus and Carsales.

Prior to joining Autotrader in December 2021, he was with Carsales for more than eight years, most recently as state manager for NSW and ACT.

AutoGrab, which has grown to more than 35 staff, is a B2B automotive intelligence platform with products covering used vehicle pricing, sourcing, insights and lead generation.
