The dealer already operated authorised parts and service capabilities for the Penske brands of Western Star, MAN Truck and Bus, and Dennis Eagle, and for Detroit heavy-duty engines.

Pengelly’s appointment comes a month before the second annual Western Star Trucks Show ‘n’ Shine event planned at the Toowoomba Showgrounds on November 17.

Pengelly Trucks and Trailers managing director Scott Pengelly said his company had almost a decade of experience as a Western Star, MAN, and Detroit parts and service dealer.

Pengelly operates four workshops for truck and trailer repairs, paint and panels and heavy-vehicle wheel alignments.

Penske Commercial Vehicles managing director Kevin Dennis said Pengelly had been an important part of the customer support network in south-east Queensland.

“We are confident that Pengelly will continue to provide great customer service with this increase in its responsibilities to include sales across Penske’s on-highway brands including Western Star, MAN, Dennis Eagle and Detroit,” he said.

“Penske Commercial Vehicles has continually worked on improving our network capabilities and our offering to customers.”

Mr Dennis said the appointment of Pengelly will be part of a renewed focus to ensure its customers receive the best whole-of-life cycle care of their assets.
