SMART premium EV has teamed-up with Matildas star Kyah Simon who has taken delivery of a new smart #3 BRABUS as she lends her name to the German-designed EV which is partly owned by Chinese car maker Geely.
John Good, managing director of LSH Auto, the sole Australian smart retail partner, said in a statement that Ms Simon, one of the longest serving Matildas stars, has chosen to make smart premium EV motoring “part of her lifestyle”.

Kyah Simon, who has been a Matildas star since 2007 and is the first player of indigenous heritage to score goals for Australia, recently took delivery of her new car from Mr Good.
Mr Good said: “Known not only for her long-term participation in the national team, but also for her promotion of participation in sport by young girls, Kyah’s move to EV motoring with a BRABUS model is indicative of her focus on high performance.
“With 111 appearances for Australia, it is also clear that she shares endurance as a value with the smart brand.”
In welcoming Ms Simon to the LSH Auto fold, Mr Good said: “Kyah’s dedication to prolonged high performance and utilising her knowledge and skills to give back to the community both fit perfectly with our core values. We are proud to have her as part of our wider family.”
Ms Simon said in a statement: “I’m thrilled to be experiencing the fun, performance and practicality of the smart, especially in BRABUS form.
“It’s a great addition to my lifestyle and also great to be part of participating in the growing move to electric motoring. It’s going to play a big role in helping me with my sporting and community activities.”
Smart returned to Australia late last year with the all-electric smart #1 and #3 plus BRABUS high performance versions of both.
The company said the German-designed cross-over urban SUVs were “quickly establishing themselves as the standard setter in innovative, premium EV motoring”. Smart vehicles are sold and serviced via smart experience centres at LSH Auto Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane
