KATE Sykes has been appointed employee services and project manager in HR for PACCAR Australia. She will maintain her role as PACCAR’s marketing manager until a successor is announced.

PACCAR, which makes Kenworth and DAF trucks in Australia at Bayswater in Victoria, has recently expanded its workforce with 120 jobs created in July and a further 100 announced this week.

Ms Sykes has been marketing manager and marketing services manager with PACCAR for five years.

She was previously brand and communications manager for BPW Transpec, and prior to that has held positions with Catholic Church Insurances as communications coordinator, and as marketing coordinator for powertrain specialist Cummins.
