WELL known and longstanding managing director of Glass’s Information Services, Santo Amoddio, has announced he is leaving the company after 33 years.

Though the move is concurrent with the recent announcement that Glass’s parent company Autovista has been sold to US-based J.D. Power, Mr Amoddio said that he had informed management he was moving on earlier this year following a desire to pursue new opportunities within the automotive industry.

Mr Amoddio was the managing director of the company, known more often as Glass’s Guide, since 2001 and was concurrently the group regional managing director of parent company Autovista Group for two years.

His Autovista role encompassed the regions of the UK, Australia, Netherlands and the Nordics. He has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from RMIT University.

Mr Amoddio will be succeeded by Graeme Hiku, who has a sales background in Australia and New Zealand.

He was responsible for leading a team of eight and tasked with revenue growth from new sales and existing customers, and strategic planning from a national, state and local level.

Before this he was head of sales for RateMyAgent Australia, increasing market awareness of the company and its products, and developing sales strategies and increasing revenues.

Mr Hiku was also with Fairfax Media for almost seven years as sales director for New Zealand’s Nelson and Marlborough regions, tasked with growing revenue and subscriptions both in print and digital.
