The Aston Martin AM37, developed in conjunction with Quintessence Yachts, costs $A2.05 million as an entry-level boat, although the one pictured here has been extensively personalised and costs close to $A3 million.
It has been custom finished to match the owner’s Aston Martin Vantage AMR V12 car ($A380,995) which is finished in blue with a cream interior.
The composite-construction boat has been matched to the car with cabinets trimmed in charcoal lacquer wood and a grey Alcantara headliner for the cabin. These materials are not standard-issue on the boat.
The owner worked with Q by Aston Martin to hand-pick the colours and materials, including the blue hull and blue-cream upholstery, blue carbon-fibre champagne cooler and Lacewood table and convertible sofa.
Aston Martin offer the AM37 with two powerplants – twin 370hp (276kW) diesels or two 430hp (321kW) petrol engines, for a top speed of 45 knots (83km/h). However, there is an optional AM37S version with twin 522hp (388kW) petrol engines for a 50 knot (93km/h) top speed.
All Aston Martin boats have a sliding cover for the cockpit and all major controls – including the retractable swim platform – are accessed by one 15-inch touchscreen.
