Tim Nicholson's interest in the automotive world started early, thanks to his family of petrol heads, led by his grandfather who ran the local Holden dealership in Camperdown, Victoria.
Tim studied drama in his undergraduate degree but was kicked out after failing too many subjects. He still harbours deluded dreams of one day winning an Oscar, but would settle for a Logie.
His professional experience is varied, having worked in project management and communications roles in the higher education and government sectors, following a brief stint as an English teacher in Tokyo.
Tim worked as a staff writer for Tennis Australia during the 2011 Australian Open, and completed his Master of Arts (Media and Communications) at Swinburne University in 2013.
One of Tim’s passions is radio which he indulges on a weekly basis by producing and hosting the vaguely humorous and occasionally informative motoring program, Fender Bender, on community radio station JOY 94.9.
Tim started with GoAuto as a production assistant in April 2012, before becoming a full-time journalist in 2013. He accepted the role of managing editor in April 2014.
