COX Automotive Australia has appointed Mark Lancaster as CEO of both Retail and Data Solutions for Australia.

The move enables Cox to offer its customers an integrated set of retail and data solutions that will create a centrally managed business unit that takes full advantage of each operation’s synergies and to simplify products for customers.

Mr Lancaster joined Cox in January as CEO of Retail Solutions when Cox bought DealerCell. He has led DealerCell since 2016.

As head of Retail Solutions, he has led the Cox retail product offerings. The new appointment will see him also take on responsibility for the company’s data products.

Cox Automotive Australia and New Zealand CEO David Colwell said: “Mark is a very innovative, forward-thinking leader who has a successful track record of empowering customers with the products and technology they need to service the end consumer.”

Mr Lancaster said: “I’m excited about the opportunity to bring our unique offering to market, and I’m looking forward to using the greater Cox suite of products to resolve pain points felt in the market and offer our customers a more integrated approach to the way they do business.”

Mr Lancaster’s appointment has led to Cox’s head of sales, Michael Clarke, taking on the newly created role of general manager, Retail and Data.

Mr Clarke becomes responsible for the sales, onboarding and customer service of both retail and data customers.

Mr Lancaster said: “Michael has had a highly successful career in sales with DealerCell and we’re very much looking forward to him sharing his highly regarded expertise, energy and passion with the onboarding and the customer service parts of our business.”
