HINO Australia has agreed to extend its partnership with the Virgin Australia Supercars Championship by another three years.

The truck-maker has been a sponsor since 2016 and said its involvement had been “a dynamic generator at once of brand exposure and engagement with its dealer network and customers”.

Hino Australia general manager of brand and franchise development Bill Gillespie said the partnership “has delivered everything we wanted to achieve and more, which is not surprising given that racing is in our DNA”.

“We credit the Supercar involvement with delivering a level of brand and dealer engagement that has been a key factor in strengthening our status as the fastest growing truck brand in Australia.

“Our relationship with Supercars also provides us with a unique opportunity to promote our Hino Advantage suite of business solutions, including our unique capped-price service offer,” he said.

Under the arrangement Hino will be visible at Supercars events with trackside signage and its Hino Hub that provides race information and statistical updates throughout the Foxtel and Network Ten TV broadcasts.

The company is the official light- and medium-duty truck and bus sponsor for the Supercars Championship and more recently has added the official towing-vehicle duty at Supercars-promoted events including Bathurst, Sandown, Gold Coast, Townsville, Newcastle and Sydney.

Hino also has motorsport involvement in Hino Team Suguwara, which has had 27 consecutive finishes and nine consecutive class wins in the Dakar Rally.
