MG MOTOR Australia has appointed Giles Belcher as sales director for Australia and New Zealand following a six-month tenure as a strategic advisor for the company.

Mr Belcher has more than 20 years’ experience in the automotive industry in Australia, including the recent position as director of sales for Hyundai and head of sales and regional operations.

He was also regional manager NSW/ACT for Honda and national sales manager of commercial vehicles and SUVs for Toyota.

Mr Belcher said he accepted the full-time appointment after working with MG’s executive team since July 2020 in a part-time strategic advisory role.

“I’m delighted to be now joining the team full-time,” he said.

“I have witnessed first-hand the rapid growth of the range and its dedicated customer base which appreciates the MG spirit of value, style, safety and technology.
