NISSAN Australia has shifted its media account from Dentsu Aegis Network and has appointed Omnicom Media Group which will form a new agency called United to be based in South Melbourne.

The move to OMG now aligns the media account with other markets and means completing the family circle for Nissan’s creative agency TBWA, which is also a part of OMG.

Dentsu Aegis Network (DAN) has held the Nissan account since 2006.

Nissan Australia’s general manager of brand and communications, Rebecca Williams, said the company appreciated DAN’s decade-long service and its “professional working relationship, great creativity and dedication to Nissan Australia”.

She said incoming United was in the ideal position to support Nissan and its communications objectives in Australia because of its strong global understanding of the Nissan brand.

Nissan is Australia’s eighth-biggest car company with a market share in 2017 of 4.8 per cent. It sold 56,594 vehicles in 2017.
